Marmalade Advertising is a new promotional products company in Halifax. When I started my small business, it was with the intent of changing how businesses see and use promotional/marketing items. 

Traditionally, promotional products can be wasteful, often because they're made cheap and they don't serve a real purpose. I've seen it for years and I know your audience isn't scrambling over themselves to get a house shaped magnet or another flashlight keychain.

Helping businesses purchase less wasteful items and choose smarter, more focused, ecological products is one of the pillars of my business. If the product is focused on your audience's needs and it's something they actually want, then less is thrown away and your business can lower its carbon footprint. Produce less wasteful items and less items are wasted, you know?

So when I was reading the Ecology Action Centre's newsletter and they were looking for marathon team members - it was the perfect fit. 

The EAC is doing important work within our community and leans heavily on its amazing volunteers. It's important to me that I give back where I can and this marathon is a great opportunity to raise money for an organization that works hard for their city.
