My Story…
Hello!
I have chosen to donate my fundraising efforts to the IWK Foundation. I have chosen this organization because not only do they help children when they need it the most but they also work with amazing organizations to help fight for a cure for the diseases that are affecting these children and their families.
For my own personal reasons, this is very dear to me. If it weren't for the amazing staff at the hospital in May 2021, I am not certain my 17 month old at the time would still be with me. He was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. The IWK has dedicated diabetic staff and I can only hope that this lifts such a burden from families who have children who battle T1D such as mine. I also have a couple of friends of mine who travel their children back and forth to the IWK from NB extremely often and I would like to give back to the place that is helping these children as well.
