Carter's Champions Pink Dress Runn

Pink Dress 5k Run/Walk The Carter's Champions Pink Dress Run is nor your typical local run. Participants don pink dresses at the non-profit charity event and race, run, stroll, walk, push strollers and bring their children and four legged kids to downtown Gulfport to raise funds for local breast cancer patients being treated through Memorial Health System. The 5K (3.1 mile) route is self-paced but is timed for the serious runners who want to track their time. Running Clubs are welcome to register. Participants can turn around and head back to the finish line whenever they would like or just hang out to listen to music, visit the food trucks or grab a free beer from Chandeleur Island Brewing Company. This event raises awareness and funds for breast cancer. Proceeds from the Carter’s Champions Breast Cancer Fund will go to The Memorial Hospital Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit foundation. 100% of the funds provide financial assistance to women and men in our community receiving treatments for breast cancer at Memorial Hospital. This year's event will be bigger and better than ever! Registration opens at 8:00am at Chandeleur Island Brewing Company. The Run/Walk will start promptly at 9:00am. There will be lots of activities happening after the run. Enter the "Best Dressed Man in a Pink Dress Contest" and you could win $500 cash! Help recognize the Breast Cancer Survivors in attendance.
