Peel Police Race Against Racism

How does it work?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and our intent on keeping the community safe, the 2021 Race Against Racism will be moving to a virtual event format. The virtual event gives you the flexibility to participate your own way, you can join us on a trail, path, sidewalk or park! Please obey local and provincial guidelines with regards to acceptable places to run and remember to social distance!

When do I run?
You can upload your results between July 10, 2021 – August 10, 2021

Who is eligible to run the virtual race?
Anyone who registers for our event.

Will the course be pre-set or can I make one up?
The choice is up to you! Create fun loops, set-up your own fuel/water station in your yard and tell your neighbours so they can cheer you on from their porches! We ask that you please obey all local and provincial guidelines, as well as all traffic and road signage if you will be running in your community.

Will prizes be given out?
Prizing will be awarded via a draw format instead of total distance run/walked.

Where do the proceeds go?

All proceeds go towards creating scholarships for up to $2,000 for post secondary students in Peel Region. In 2019 we were able to create 8 scholarships for post secondary students!
