Calgary Women's Run 2021

The Calgary Women’s Run is one of the oldest women’s runs in Canada, and an historically important event for women in sports.

This year we hope we can all run this race in-person together, but if not, we are prepared to run virtually - together but apart!

Have you already registered for the Moose Mountain Trail Race? We are pleased to announce that the Trail2Path Challenge will also be going ahead this year! Run any distance at Moose Mountain on Saturday and the Women's Run Sunday to participate! Remember to choose the Women's Run and T2P Challenge option to earn an awesome medal and swag.

In-Person Details

What: 10k & 5k Fun Runs (or walk!)

When: August 22, 2021

10 km will start at 9 am

5 km will start at 9:05

Award Ceremony: 11 am

Who: Age Divisions are 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19 and then 10-year increments –20 to 80+ yrs; Race capped at total of 400 participants.

Late Registration is also available at Package pick-up for $60

Saturday, August 21st, 10 am- 2 pm

Rules

1. All Participants must adhere to all current Covid-19 public health guidelines, as well as respect volunteers on course enforcing these guidelines. There are currently no restrictions in place, but we have made the following decisions to ensure safety: bottled water only at aid stations, pre-packaged finished line treats and bottled water—please allow our volunteers to serve you
2. We will have two waves, the 10 km will start at 9 am and the 5 km at 9:05 am
3. We will have two aid stations—at the 5km turn-around and the 10 km turn-around, but they will be cup free and will only have bottled water
4. Race bibs must be pinned to the front of your shirt or shorts – this is your chip timing!
5. Good news! We will have an Awards ceremony starting at 11 am! Please practice social distancing, and masks are welcome. The most up-to-date details will be on the race website here: https://www.calgaryroadrunners.com/calgary-womens-run/
6. Overall and age-group winners must be present to accept their awards, awards will not be mailed out, but can be picked up at Lakeview Bakery at 6449 Crowchild Trail SW for ONE WEEK following the event.
7. Please stay to the right side of the pathway and obey course marshals at all times. Be mindful of other pathway users.
This is not a closed course.
8. Headphones are not permitted. Pathways are open to the public and participants need to be aware.
9. Changes to these rules will be communicated to all participants via e-mail should circumstances change prior to the event, with details on the website also (https://www.calgaryroadrunners.com/calgary-womens-run/)
10. Race rules are in place for safety and enjoyment of all competitors. Let’s have a safe and FUN day.
