For participating in Opal's Walk for Juneteenth

Our story…

Hello Family & Friends!

We are the Broadouses and are supporting our cousin Opal Lee in her effort to make Juneteenth a national holiday. Cousin Opal Lee is from Fort Worth, TX, is 94 years old and believes Juneteenth can be a unifier because it recognizes that slaves didn't free themselves, they had help from Quakers along the Underground Railroad, abolitionists both black and white like Frederick Douglass and William Lloyd Garrison, soldiers and many others who gave their lives for the freedom of the enslaved. Juneteenth commemorates the 2.5 years it took the freedom news to reach the last of the slaves, who were in Texas. As Cousin Opal says, "There's no freedom...until we're all free!"... So let’s walk for freedom!

Beginning 4/16 – 6/19/21, we are working with Unity Unlimited, Opal Lee’s 501c3, to convert her local walk into a national footprint, and in turn drive awareness and increase signatures for her Juneteenth petition.

Help us reach to 3MM signatures and bring notoriety to the work Cousin Opal Lee is doing to unify us all!

Help us raise money for Unity Unlimited, Inc.
