HORNER HUSTLE

Mike Horner lived in Edison Park with his wife, Heather Dunne and their daughter, Mary Helen. When Mike was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer in December 2015, his family and friends were blindsided. How could someone so healthy be so sick? Mike lost his battle with pancreatic cancer shortly after Mary Helen’s first birthday, 9 months after his diagnosis, and minutes before his 46^th birthday. Please join the Horner, Dunne, Balducci, and Pietryla families as they partner with Project Purple to host the 4th annual 5K Horner Hustle Fun Run/Walk at Centennial Park or from anywhere in the country, raising funds for early detection and, ultimately, a cure for pancreatic cancer.

The Horner Hustle for 2021 will be live with an option to do virtual.

**We currently DO NOT have any restrictions for in person limits. In the event that restrictions are put back in place we will update the site to keep you informed**

The purpose and fun of this event remains the same, you can just participate from anywhere in the country.

How does it work?

1. Register to participate. Create a team and invite your freinds and family to join you.

2. Receive your custom bib via email.

3. On August 21st, we will either walk 1 mile or run a 5k.

4. Wear your custom bib, take and post pictures and videos to social media using #hornerhustle2021, #projectpurple, and tag @projectpurple. Also, post pictures to the 2021 Horner Hustle photo gallery. Click Here

5. Register for "The Miker Medal" or the "Virtual Miker Medal" and receive the 2021 Horner Hustle Medal
