Our Story
The Sargent Center has been providing extraordinary services for students with special needs for more than 50 years.
This non-profit center provides innovative programming for students ages 3-22. These services include special education, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, behavior analysis, social skills, and job coaching.
We are excited to partner with the Flutie Foundation to expand our community partners and supports for our families and students with Autism as well as Developmental Disabilities.
Please join the Sargent Center as we partner with the Doug Flutie Foundation in support of the Flutie 5K for Autism- Dougie's Epic Adventure and the continuation of our mission for advancement of programming and engagement for all students.

Help our team reach our goal for the 2021 Flutie 5k for Autism: Dougie's Epic Adventure, to raise critical funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest!
Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 23-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to partner schools and organizations who provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people and families affected by autism. The Flutie Foundation also provides direct financial support to families through initiatives like education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, to provide immediate help where it's needed the most.
