Our Story
This is Cam’s story, son of former BC Hockey Captain (’83), Mike O’Neil.
"Our brains interpret the things we see, smell, hear, taste, touch & experience. But, when someone’s brain has trouble interpreting these things, it can make it hard to talk, listen, understand, play & learn.
Doctors, Therapists, Special Education Teachers, Friends & people, in general, can help people with autism learn to communicate effectively….and brighten his/her futures….like my amazing Mom, Dad, and 2 Brothers have done for the last 29 years.”

Description
Help our team reach our goal for the 2021 Flutie 5k for Autism: Dougie's Epic Adventure, to raise critical funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest!
Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 23-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to partner schools and organizations who provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people and families affected by autism. The Flutie Foundation also provides direct financial support to families through initiatives like education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, to provide immediate help where it's needed the most.
