Help Alison raise money

We never imagined that the same day we welcomed our boys into the world would also be the day we would say goodbye. 

This is why I am so grateful for the support we received from Bridget’s Bunnies. Operated entirely by volunteers, this group provides comfort kits to families that have experienced a loss. 

We received the infant loss kit, and Wynn received the sibling's loss kit. 

In the kits were items we didn’t know we needed. 

Items to help capture memories of our boys. Every parent saves memorabilia of their child to look back on as they grow older. The memories we captured that day are the only ones we will ever get of our boys. I hold them dear to my heart. 

The kits also included postpartum recovery products so that I didn’t have to stop into the pharmacy on the way home from the hospital. 

We received bereavement books and resources for Mike and me. But also a storybook for Wynn. Seeing she was only 2.5 years old, we didn’t know how much this would understand. But we quickly realized that she was mourning her brothers in her own way. 

And lastly, we were given plush bunnies, two for Wynn to hold as a gift from her brothers, and two for Mike and me should we need something to have when we couldn’t hold our babies. 

It was overwhelming to think that a group of strangers took the time to think of our family and what we might need to help guide us through the toughest experience of our lives. 

1 in 4 pregnancies ends in a loss. I don’t want any family to have to go through any type of loss alone. This is why we are fundraising in support of Bridget’s Bunnies. The money raised will go towards the comfort kits and community partners providing bereavement support to families who have experienced a loss.
