BRIDGET'S VIRTUAL RUN 2021
October 16, 2021 - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged many of us to find new and creative ways to stay connected safely and responsibly. With physical distancing becoming our new normal Bridget's Run has been reimagined! Join us on Saturday, October 16 for an exciting virtual run experience. Gather your friends and family to run or walk with you as part of your at-home celebration and be sure to tune into our social media channels throughout the day to join in on all the fun!

RUN, WALK OR HOP - EVENT DETAILS

Bridget's Run is a 1km/5km family fun run/walk in recognition of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month and in support of Bridget's Bunnies and our community partners providing bereavement support for families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss.

Complete your 1km, 5km or Bunny Hop at your own pace and on your own time anytime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on October 16. Be sure to tune into the Facebook Live opening ceremony and high-energy warm-up to get you started and don't forget to take pictures and videos along your route to share on social media tagging @BridgetsBunnies to connect us all together!

**Please note**

At this point in time there is still a lot of uncertainty around hosting large in-person events; we are currently planning for Bridget's Run to be offered virtually this year. We will be staying up to date on the Ontario government pandemic restrictions and group gathering guidelines as well as working with the City of Barrie and the Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit to determine if a group gathering will be permitted in the Fall. Any updates on an in-person gathering will be listed on our website and social media outlets as well as communicated via email to all registered participants.

ABOUT BRIDGET'S BUNNIES

Bridget's Bunnies is dedicated to ensuring no family endures pregnancy or infant loss alone. In memory of baby Bridget, who was born still just one day shy of her due date, comfort kits are provided to families in the Barrie and surrounding areas who are experiencing a loss. Kits include comfort items, memory makers and resources of support to provide gentle direction and compassion to help parents in the days that follow loss.

FUNDRAISING

Your personal fundraising page will automatically be created with your event registration. We encourage you to customize and share this page with your community to help raise the funds needed to help support families in our community.

We are so grateful for all that you do to fundraise for us and raise awareness for pregnancy and infant loss. Get your hands on our limited edition Bridget’s Run buff when you raise a minimum of $50 and a Bridget’s Bunnies water bottle when you raise a minimum of $150! Set up your fundraising page while registering for the run and share it instantly to your social media!

Fundraising rewards are awarded based on individual fundraising efforts. Donations made towards the Team do not count towards individual fundraising totals. One prize can be claimed per registered participant at each reward level. To qualify for fundraising rewards all fundraising dollars must be received by Bridget's Bunnies by October 23, 2021. If you have earned a fundraising reward you will be emailed with redemption instructions. You have until November 30 to redeem your rewards.

As COVID-19 marches on across the nation we know that families will continue to endure pregnancy and infant loss. As a result, these families are left to navigate the ramifications of this traumatic experience in an environment of overwhelming uncertainty and fear.
