Help Larissa raise money

For participating in 2021 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon

My Story…

Hey friends and family!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to read my story and learn more about why I'm fundraising for Heart and Stroke. It really means the world to me!

Here are some details around what I'm doing this month:

From October 1st - 31st I am fundraising for Heart and Stroke in honour of my Dad and every other Canadian impacted by cardiac arrest, stroke and heart disease.

 Every year in Canada:

35,000 people have a cardiac arrest
 62,000 people have a stroke

That's a combined total of 97,000 Canadians impacted by cardiac arrest and stroke EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

This October, I am moving for my Dad. I am pushing myself to be better and faster and stronger because that's exactly what he would want. And I am raising money for Heart and Stroke and their medical research that saves lives and enhances recovery outcomes for cardiac patients like my Dad.

For the next 31 days, I COMMIT TO:

Moving my body every single day in October, in some way, to honour him and keep his memory alive

 AND

Running the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon on October 30th, which is the 1-year anniversary date of his sudden cardiac arrest

ALL $$$ RAISED GOES DIRECTLY TO HEART & STROKE!

Their research is saving lives and improving the recovery outcomes of thousands of Canadians every single year.

THANK YOU for taking the time to read my story. Any and every donation is appreciated more than you will ever know <3

Sending you so much love xx

 Larissa

Description

Heart disease, stroke and related conditions take one life every five minutes in Canada. An estimated 1.6 million more are living with the devastating effects of these diseases. And 9 in 10 Canadians have at least one risk factor, such as high blood pressure, obesity, tobacco use, lack of physical activity and diabetes.

The threat of heart disease and stroke has never been more urgent. And it’s amplified by our aging population, sedentary lifestyles, poor diets and more.

Get involved and help us by; volunteering, donating, taking part in events, advocating, and/or learning CPR.
