My Story…
It's that bittersweet time of year as I don my little used running shoes and trudge 5K to honour Canadian children and adults whose lives were cut short by Fanconi anemia, a genetic disorder that leads to bone marrow failure, leukemia and cancer.
The list sadly continues to grow: This year I honour the memories of Samuel Boudreau and Emiliano Andrade as well as Aaron, Alcide, Amanda, Ameera, Audrey, Charlotte, Danielle, Drake, Evangeline, Jaclynn, Jamie, Janelle, Jason, Kevin, Matthew, Omer, Piper, Sanjeev, Sophia, Tali and Terri-Lee.
I am participating in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon/Half-marathon/5K Charity Challenge which is happening virtually the year all through October.
