Hi everyone, this is my first half marathon. I am running in memory of my dad and to raise awareness for Cholangiocarcinoma.
My dad, Bichitra Dhal, was an avid runner and had signed up for this race in 2019. Unfortunately, while training for the race he fell and ruptured his Achilles and could not participate. Last year, I lost my dad to cancer. He was a patient at Princess Margaret and Toronto General Hospital.

I'm running for The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
Currently, COVID-19 is putting unprecedented stress and pressure on Canada's healthcare system, frontline workers and patients. At the Princess Margaret, our cancer patients and survivors are particularly vulnerable, especially those with compromised immune systems. In an effort to take action against these challenges, we remain dedicated in our vision to Conquer Cancer, and with your support we can raise funds to continue ground breaking research, clinical trials and treatment at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
