Help Us Reach Our Goal So No One Has To Face Cancer Alone
In January 2001 I was first diagnosed with cancer 20 years later which coincides with when Gilda’s Club of Greater Toronto was founded. I still give back!
In October once again I am participating in this year’s Virtual Scotiabank Run and Charity Challenge for Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto, a cancer support organization. Since the onset of COVID-19 they have done a great job transitioning their cancer support groups and programs to virtual formats and by supporting me in this event, you are helping Gilda’s Club continue to provide these groups and programs free of charge to those impacted by cancer and those bereaved from the loss of a loved one to cancer.
These supportive programs are crucial to individuals and families who are coping with the anxiety and fear brought on by COVID-19 and the added challenge of cancer in their lives. Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto continues to provide online support groups, exercise classes, nutrition showcases and other programs that are essential for their wellbeing. Their team of mental health professionals also continue to connect with the children, teens and adults providing much needed support to relieve stress, reduce isolation and provide resources to navigate today’s ever changing healthcare landscape. Please consider supporting me in this event so that no one has to face cancer alone. Thank you.
Here is the link to my personal fundraising page – make a donation and you will get an instant tax receipt (great news is Scotiabank absorbs all the credit card fees, so Gilda’s Club receives 100% of all donated funds):
please help me to help Gilda’s Club people touched by cancer! And share this page with other!
wishing you a healthy new year 5782
Please support me as I participate in the Scotiabank Waterfront Run for Gilda's Club Greater Toronto who provides cancer support programs free of charge to adults, teens/children as well as their families who are experiencing cancer-related stress. Due to COVID-19, there has never been a more significant time to donate. This year’s event is crucial as those impacted by cancer need Gilda's Club now more than ever. Registrations for programs have increased by 59% since the onset of COVID-19. This pandemic, the forced isolation and extraordinary uncertainties have had a tremendous impact on Gilda's Club members who are living with and experiencing cancer related stress. By donating you will make it possible for cancer patients and their families to access and receive the support they need to relieve stress, reduce isolation & provide resources to help them through this increasingly difficult time. Funds raised will maintain the cancer support groups/programs as their team of licensed health professionals have modified these programs to virtual platforms. Thanks for helping to ensure that no one has to face cancer alone.
