Hello Families and Friends!!
As we continue to do things differently in 2021, I'll be RUNNING A VIRTUAL HAT TRICK (Half Marathon 21.1k + 10K + 5K) all in ONE DAY on Saturday October 23rd in support of Urban Promise!
UrbanPromise Toronto is a Christian organization committed to reaching children in Toronto Community Housing with the love of Jesus, and raise them into leaders, who restore their community.
I always believe in living out my faith by words and in actions! My motivation came from my experience helping out at Urban Promise 2 summers ago. Here is the blog reflecting on the team's experience! https://scbcurbanpromise2019stm.wordpress.com/

Children living in Toronto Community Housing want what any kid wants...
>To be known, accepted and valued.
>To become just like their role models.
>To dream.
They're up against some tough realities...
>material poverty
>lack of resources
>destructive cycles
>broken families
>lure of drugs
>threat of violence
Which can make them feel unworthy, defeated, angry, hopeless.
BUT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE HOPE, AND EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW JESUS-THE AUTHOR OF HOPE ITSELF.
