My Story…
Greetings friends, family and colleagues. It is again that time of year when the GRSC participates in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, even during the Pandemic, as we seek support into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, a sight threatening disease. To refresh our memories and share the following with new supporters, my son was born with an essentially useless right eye, due to toxoplasmosis, an infection. Some years later he developed glaucoma in his only good (left) eye. Over time he has required two very significant and serious surgical interventions, and currently takes drops throughout the day, to help maintain his vision. Although not as serious or worrisome as my son, I also have glaucoma which requires the use of three different drops daily. Thank you for your support into research of glaucoma.
