My Story…
Hello friends and family!
As many of you know I turned 50 this year in August. I'm hoping you can help this old man celebrate with a contribution to the Holy Trinity Refugee Committee. Their years faithful support of refugees to make a new home among us is needed now more than ever.
Description
Our Refugee Committee invites you run or walk to support newly arrived refugees. Since 1991, we have sponsored and provided financial and moral support to around 135 refugees fleeing persecution in countries such as Afghanistan, Colombia, El Salvador, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq and Rwanda. Today, they are making positive contributions to our society, both economically and socially.
We have submitted applications for two families - one from Eritrea and one from Syria - that are waiting, and we are working on a new application for a single Iraqi LGBTQ man. We are also watching for details of the resettlement plans for Afghan refugees.
