Our story…
After finishing my first marathon I realized I had caught the bug and wanted to continue to challenge myself in these endurance events while also raising money for an important cause close to me. The team I created is named John Wheaton after my grandfather who recently passed. He was and continues to be an integral part of my life and battled Cancer and won thanks to modern medicine, health care professionals, and his will to fight. Although he is no longer with us his spirit carries on. That is why we as a team are running and fundraising in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. I also encourage anyone looking to complete a 5km, 10km, half-marathon, or marathon to register and join our team. This Marathon is virtual so you can do it anywhere while improving your overall health and helping a great cause. Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this and potentially donate.
