Help us raise money

For participating in 2021 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon

Our story…

On March 4, 2021 we lost our Dad to AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia).

This disease is fierce and shows no mercy. Only 3 months after his first symptoms, he passed away. We watched him decline rapidly not only physically, but mentally as well.

Because of his age and the nature of this type of leukemia, treatment was not an option, with less than a 30% chance of aggressive chemotherapy being able to extend his life. Twice a week, we took him for blood transfusions, each time seeing a slight improvement in how he was feeling, but after a few months of that, the transfusions were no longer helping much.

To see a loved one go through what our Dad did is not something I wish on anyone; but sadly, countless others have lost the battle with this terrible disease. Every donation can get us one step closer to a cure, or better treatment options for those suffering with any of the different types of Leukemia.

Please help us work towards our goal!

Love, Linda and Ed
