Our story…
This will be the 2nd year we're running in memory of our good friend Sunny Wong, who passed away on April 1, 2020, at the young age of 42 at Guelph General Hospital after a valiant 6-year battle with cancer.
Sunny will be forever fondly remembered for his joyful spirit and the strength of his determination. His countless friends will remember him as a beacon of light, with his trademark smile and contagious laughter that brightened your day. His optimism and positive demeanour truly reflected his namesake.
A team of 20 friends had raised $8,870.88 in support of LLSC and helped Sunny complete one of his last wishes...to participate in the 2020 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront 5K. Though it wasn't via a rickshaw as he had envisioned, we had all completed the race with Sunny in our hearts - virtually TOGETHER!
We look forward to continuing to run in memory of our good friend Sunny and campaigning for a cure.
