Come out and join with The Brockville Rifles who are participating in the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 105 Event, it is a way for you to SPRING INTO ACTION anytime from May 10-August 31.
This is not your typical sporting event. Unlike a typical marathon, triathlon, or obstacle course, the RCL Branch 105 Virtual Event is open to all individuals, regardless of individual characteristics or physical capability. Absolutely everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. Participate in your own way: as an individual, as a group, by running, walking, biking, pushing, or pulling. Do whatever activity that improves your health or that of your loved ones and come out and join the Brocks as we fight the COVID blues.
Even though this event will be amazing, COVID-19 is still a reality. As such, all participants will still need to adhere to local, provincial and federal guidelines for their health and safety and those around them.
The Royal Canadian Legion Virtual Event is a way for you to SPRING INTO ACTION and participate, get a medal, have fun, and help provide funding to a community services-oriented organization that focuses on assisting the Veteran community.
To be successful:
1. Participate in your own way, do whatever improves your health, and quality of life.
2. Adhere to local, provincial and federal guidelines for your health and safety and those around you.
3. Do what makes you healthy, both physically and mentally.
4. Most of all share this message through social media, Facebook, amongst others to everyone you can reach in your community: front/first line workers, first responders, your neighbors, colleagues, schools, and friends; and
5. Have fun!
How to participate:
Register HERE and tell us what challenge you want to complete:
1. Fill out your registration any time before August 31, 2021.
2. Register your challenge, answer questions, return to your account upon completion and confirm you have completed the challenge.
3. Medals of completion will be sent out one week after end of the event (August 31, 2021) making 15 September 2021 the date for shipping to (local) address indicated during registration.
4. Celebrate having been active during a pandemic while helping local volunteers serve our communities and have a medal to show for it.
