NOTE: We'll be using FaceBook Live on the Nova Scotia Trail Running page...so we'll see you there before 9:00am tomorrow! We'll have the timing clock/official clock set up like we did last year. It's gonna be a hot one!! Be safe!
How far will you go? Will this be your longest run ever? We hope so!!
-Starts on Saturday August 14, 2021 at 9:00am ATLANTIC time. Sharp.
-Same rules apply as the Sonofa Gunofa Run/Toboggan Run/any “Last Person Standing” race. You have 59m59s to complete your 6.667KM route.
-Each 'lap' starts exactly at the top of the hour, every hour, until no one is left!
-Late starters will be DQ'd or not counted in the final results.
-There will be a "EFVR Start List" posted on the Nova Scotia Trail Running Facebook Page (pinned to the top). I'll post the start list there Friday afternoon when registration closes.
-If your route is outside, you have to run/walk/crawl (foot travel only!) a 6.667km route with a GPS watch/device recording you.
-If you're using a treadmill, you need to do 6.667km and you can't start the treadmill until the clock strikes the top of the hour. You'll also have to post photos of your treadmill distance and time after you complete each lap (or after you tap out).
-You can also mix up your routes throughout the event. Switching from outside running to inside/treadmill and vice-versa is totally acceptable.
-Please abide by the laws/orders/suggestions from your local government regarding social distancing and group gatherings.
-After registering on Race Roster, head over to Strava at some point and search for the ”Ella’s Frontyard Virtual Run” under “clubs”. You’ll get ’approved’ within a day or so after requesting to join the club. Everyone’s laps will be easily found here!
-After each lap, try to post your run to Strava. Posting your laps can also be done when you are finished the event.
Important:
-If you "refuse to continue" the next lap, please type your name under the "start list" post so we don't go looking for you. We can still send out a search party for you if you go missing ;) Also let us know how many laps you did after you tap out (if possible).
-Your camera view (that you set up at your start/finish line) is your “start/finish corral”. You need to be in your corral prior to each start and obviously you need to finish in your corral too. If your camera view is out your front door, maybe have an actual start/finish line closer to your camera.
-Once the lap starts, you are not allowed any aid of any sort. If you forgot something (anything), you're not allowed to get it...unless you want a DQ/DNF.
**Please don’t attempt this if you don’t feel well. Beating down your immune system during this time is not a wise move, so stay safe and play smart**
