Help Alison raise money

For participating in The Endo Network's Run To End Endo™ 2021

My Story…

Every September, the Endometriosis Network Canada hosts the Run to End Endo and this year my family and I are participating. For those of you that don't know, Endometriosis has been debilitating for my step daughter and life-changing for all of us who have been supporting her through her battle with this condition.

Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the endometrium, which lines the uterus, grows outside of the uterus and onto other organs throughout the body forming lesions, nodules, cysts and adhesions. This can cause several medical conditions including pain that can be debilitating, infertility, gastrointestinal problems and internal scarring to name a few.

Endo affects 1 in every 10 women.  There is no cure for endo and the treatments that are offered to manage the effects are not guaranteed to work and are often very invasive and have severe side effects of their own.

If you’re not in a position to donate, we would appreciate if you take a moment to read the information shared below and share with at least one other to raise awareness, after all, it is very likely that you know someone who is suffering from endo even if they don’t know it yet or haven’t received a diagnosis.

I hope there can be a viable treatment or cure someday soon because she, and everyone else who is suffering, deserves relief.
