My Story…
Hi family and friends! I am joining the Parkinson’s 5K walk this year in memory of Sam, my brother-in-law, who passed away in February. At 93, he was such an inspiration to family, friends, and his Parkinson’s group. He offered his group hope and guidance as many of them were much younger than he was. I have done the walk with Sam the last few years. Two years ago he was mentioned to the crowd as the oldest walker at 91. He was so embarrassed when everyone started to clap and cheer, but we were so proud of him. I will miss taking a picture of his smiling face crossing the finish line this year, but he will definitely be walking alongside of us in spirit.
