My Story…
Biking for a cause: its been both therapeutic & fun, a hobby I feel lucky to do with Lo in tow (pun intended). We are healthy, happy, fortunate. Becoming a parent is a transformative process, I don't care who you are, it breaks you wide open. Since having Lo there's been this rumbling to support local families & mamas who might not have the same support, finances, or health that we are privileged with.
YANA is my charity of choice: YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Team McQueen knows the receiving end of YANAs contributions, YANA Comox Valley continues to be a support system for the Usher Family's very own Blakey Boy (born 15 weeks early and barely a pound of butter in weight > now a thriving 4 year old boy), YANA continues to help with his multiple out of town medical appointments and we are beyond thankful and we are motivated to give back to a cause that has lifted our family up through Blakey's 4 years of life!
Raising a child truly takes a village, it takes courage to ask for help, & YANA continues to ensure that families in the Comox Valley are not alone when dealing with medical issues for their children or pregnant mothers. If you've got $5 for a hot latte this week my wish this week is you forego the coffee and donate to YANA, to our community, to parents who need extra loving, to kids who need extra prayers. Let's raise the vibration with everything happening in the world & do something good.
If it's not YANA, pick your thing, maybe just buy the person's coffee behind you in the drive-thru, just spread that good juju cause kindness breeds kindness & the world needs more of that right now.

Every dollar raised in the community goes to help provide financial support and accommodation to Comox Valley families who need to travel to access medical care for a child or pregnant mother.
$50 = 1 night stay at a YANA apartment in Vancouver near BC Children’s Hospital
$100 = 1 night stay near Nanaimo Hospital
$200 = YANA envelope of cash for family’s emergency hospital transfer
$400 = 2 weeks stay at Jeneece Place in Victoria
$1000 = 1 month travel expense funding for a family away from home
