My Story…
As a grateful recipient of YANA's support many times over the years, we have been so moved by this community that comes together to provide the funds to keep an organization like this going. In 2019 I had the privilege to climb over to the other side and into my current Client Care role with YANA, and help deliver that gift to Comox Valley Families. Hundreds of families and stories later, the enormity of what YANA does is not only undeniably unique, but it is utterly essential to the health and wellbeing of families.
This year I will not only ride with my co-workers and friends on Team Magically Bikalicious, but I'll set out on my own to ride 176 kilometers, the distance from Comox to Port Alberni, a trek our family has made twice a month for the last year and half, for a vision therapy program that has been made easier to access thanks to the support of YANA. Please help me reach my goal of $1000 in order to give back to an organization that gives so much.
Description
Every dollar raised in the community goes to help provide financial support and accommodation to Comox Valley families who need to travel to access medical care for a child or pregnant mother.
$50 = 1 night stay at a YANA apartment in Vancouver near BC Children’s Hospital
$100 = 1 night stay near Nanaimo Hospital
$200 = YANA envelope of cash for family’s emergency hospital transfer
$400 = 2 weeks stay at Jeneece Place in Victoria
$1000 = 1 month travel expense funding for a family away from home
