In Person Event: Wednesday, 7/21/21 NEW LOCATION: LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve St. Charles, Illinois Virtual Event: Tuesday & Wednesday, 7/20 & 22/21 The Summer Sunset 5K and Youth 1 Mile events are hosted by the Fox River Trail Runners to raise funds for the Youth Scholarship Fund and local charities. Since the scholarship fund inception, we have given out numerous scholarships annually. In 2019, our largest year yet, we handed out 20 scholarships to local youth who have demonstrated great academics, volunteering in their communities and of course their love for all things running! We ask, if you are able, to continue to support this cause and give a donation above the entrance fee for the race. All proceeds from the Summer Sunset are given back in the community to the annual scholarship fund. |

Race Details
Join us at beautiful LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve for a fun filled family night of racing. The evening schedule includes the following events held at and around the Big Red Barn!
- Jamie LaForce Youth Mile starts at 6:15 PM
- Junior Jog starts at 6:30 PM
- Toddler Trot starts at 6:45 PM
- Having the earlier events allows the children to race and have refreshments at an earlier hour.
- Summer Sunset 5K starts at 7:05 PM
Please note that your registration fee is for the races only. During the registration process, you will have an option to purchase a race shirt. Shirts/Sizes will be available if you register by July 15, 2021 - 11:59 PM. Limited styles/sizes available after July 15.

Proceeds from this event go towards the FRTR Youth Scholarship Fund. Information about the scholarship and past winners can be found at frtr.org.
Packet Pick Up is:
- Tuesday, July 20 from 4 - 6 PM at Geneva Running Outfitters
- Wednesday, July 21 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at Race Village located at the big red barn at LeRoy Oakes!.
- Race Day registration will also be available from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.

Follow these easy steps to prepare for your tracking:
 TRACKING STEPS 1. Download the ASICS Runkeeper™ app to your phone and create an account or scroll down to log into an existing account Once you have completed your 5k distance in the app, save your workout and it will automatically post to Race Roster results. (This step must be followed from your mobile device) |
 VIEWING AND POSTING MANUAL RESULTS If you plan to record using another software or tracking device or post manually from what is recorded on your watch, simply head here and "Submit Virtual Result" between July 20 and July 21, 2021. |

- To record with tracking on the ASICS Runkeeper™ app, you will need to run or walk with your phone or with a connected wearable (see instructions below)
- You do not have to track with these technologies, it is optional!
