My Story…
To all my friends, family, neighbors and colleagues,
Once again I will be walking around my neighborhood on most days.
This time the event is called "the VON ME Activity Challenge" instead of the Run Walk n' Roll.
Because of Covid 19 these past few years we are going virtual in an effort to continue raise funds for the Victorian Order of Nurses Middlesex Elgin Community Corporation(VON ME CC).
As many of you already know supporting health at home is one of my many passions. I think it is so important to have supports in place so that care is there when we need it and so that we can age gracefully in our homes.
When I retired as a nurse leader in 2014 I knew that I would still want to be a part of something greater. I joined the VON ME CC Board in 2015 and have not been disappointed. VON is a great organization. As board chair from 2020 to 2022 I am ever more convinced that supporting VON ME is a worthwhile cause!
Last year with your generous help I was able to raise almost $4000 so this year I have set $4000 as my target!
