As the Executive Director of this amazing organization, all I want to do is continue this mission! The Sue's Gift financial assistance program has been a lifeline to so many people facing cancer. In 2020, Sue's gift paid bills for 54 people, which was 45% more people than in 2019. We had to reallocated funds to meet the exceeding demand. In 2021 the trend continues, we have ALREADY committed to help 40 people, and its only June. We have no choice but to implement a wait list for financial assistance. We need donations! We need your help to get people off the wait list, so we can pay their bills and help alleviate the financial stress that a cancer diagnoses can cause. We know that people with financial, emotional and social support during their cancer journey have better survival rates and lower risk of PTSD.
