THE PURR de FRANCE CYCLING CHALLENGE
The Tour de France is the epitome of all cycling tour races, where the best of the best show up and consists of 21 stages over 23 days that takes you through various regions of France and ends at the Champs-Elysées in Paris. Now is your chance to the ride the Purr de France but just like any crazy cat, you'll be doing it on your own terms and turf.
Unlike the official TdeF, you will not be riding 200k per day over mountains (unless you really want to), instead you will be riding based off time. We've set up "CAT"egories, allowing you to choose your purrfect "Tour" challenge.
You will ride 21 "stages" over 23 days throughout the month of July - starting July 5th and wrapping up July 27th. Just like the official TdeF, each stage (day) will offer a different challenge/workout - mountains, hills, flats, TT. These will be delivered to you the weekend prior to the week. Now we know that we don't all live in the mountains and that we won't always be able to get outside to ride or may just need to ride easy that day, so the challenges/workouts will be optional, however, hitting your daily times is the goal.
You can ride a single-speed, road, mountain, $30,000 TT, a tricycle, recumbent or spin bike. Just get on a bike. Indoors or outdoors - it's all about time in the saddle!

****NEW THIS YEAR****
We will be having a few classes throughout the three weeks on ZWOOM (Zwift/Zoom) - classes that you can participate and see some others at the same time. This is strictly up to you and not mandatory, just an added bonus. Details on the times and dates will come later, but we already have a few of the Zwift courses already picked out for some fun. If you are on Zwift, you can follow me at:

WE BELIEVE BICYCLES CAN CHANGE THE WORLD
At Bikes Without Borders we use bikes and bike-related solutions to empower individuals in marginalized communities through mobility. We believe in the humble bicycle as a means to increase access to vital community services and networks that allow individuals to meet their basic needs and build better lives.
Bikes Without Borders works with organizations and communities around the world on projects that employ the bicycle as a tool to change lives. We work to serve marginalized individuals and build healthy communities by eliminating access barriers. Join us on our mission as we work to better our world with the humble bicycle.
Right now at Bikes Without Borders our focus is on outfitting refugees and low-income families living in underserved Toronto communities with refurbished bicycles through The Great Bike Recycle.
THE GREAT BIKE RECYCLE
The Great Bike Recycle is a program to collect, refurbish and distribute used bikes to Toronto newcomers, via our community partners: refugee organizations, community organizations, and many more.
