Our story…

Our sweet baby Bo was born sleeping on February 14, 2017 at 10:50pm. Bo Tommy Busbee was due on March 9, 2017. For both of my pregnancies (we have a 3.5 year old little boy named Baker) I ate healthy, didn’t touch what I wasn’t supposed to, exercised, everything to ensure a healthy baby. Bo was breach and we went in for our 37.5 weeks appointment to see if he had turned. On February 14th, the day of love, our hearts were ripped out and broken when we heard our doctor say “there’s no heartbeat!” I remember just thinking this isn’t happening to me! The entire 20 minute drive to Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital I just knew i could feel Bo move and that everything was ok. We arrived and got confirmation from our delivery doctor that in deed Bo did not have a heartbeat and had passed. The hardest part was having to go through the process of waiting and contractions and birth to not hear my sweet baby boys cry or see his arms and legs , hands and feet move. My husband, Michael and I are so grateful for our amazing nurse, Bridget and for all the quality time we were able to spend with Bo. We unfortunately do not have any answers as to what happened to our sweet boy. I had had a healthy pregnancy and have always done everything I can do to make sure I am healthy and safe during both of my pregnancies. Sometimes we do not have all the answers and only God knows. We miss our sweet baby boy every day! Bo has brought us so many blessings and we know he is watching over us from Heaven and one day we will be reunited. It’s been a journey over the past 4.5 years and adjusting to our new normal without our sweet Bo. We are very blessed to have welcomed our rainbow baby girl, Charlsey Bo, in March of 2018 and our newest baby boy, Bailey Philip on June 30, 2021. We have truly been so blessed and are so grateful for amazing and supportive friends and family who have shown an out pour of love and support to us over the years. We honestly do not know where we would be without y'all! If the loss of Bo has taught us anything it is that life is short and precious and to never take anything for granted! Hold your babies tighter, closer and longer, read them an extra story, sing them an extra song, and lay with them a little longer everything else can wait!
