Runners registering after 7/31/21 are not guaranteed a race shirt.

You are guaranteed a fantastic, nearly flat, beautiful run along Humboldt Bay.

Carefully measured double out & back course covering the entire Eureka Waterfront Trail.

Accurately measured full marathon offered as a double out and back, both directions, on the entire Waterfront Trail. This is a sea level, nearly flat course primarily on paved trail, sidewalks.

2021 Humboldt Bay Half Marathon - Local High School Cross Country Runners Closed

This sub-event is not a separate race. We are offering a reduced price for local cross country team runners to experience their first half marathon. Proof of team status will be required.

New Mask Mandate

As of 8/7/21 at midnight, Humboldt County will go under a new mask mandate.
We appreciate the proactive steps our health officer and team are taking.
We want to help keep everyone safe and well.
In accordance with this mandate, masking will be required at the start line and at the finish area where social distancing is not easily possible.
Masks will be available at the Runner's Packet Pick-up Saturday as well as the Start and Finish line area Sunday.
Masks and sanitizing equipment will be at all Aid Stations as well.
We ask for your understanding and cooperation.
As much as we all want it, this is not yet the time to mingle close to others after the finish.
Please, do your part to keep space from others not in your family/home group this weekend.
Chocolate milk, Beer for 21+, snacks, hydration and music will be there for you.
So will masks when you can not keep a good distance from others.

Thanks to an original Humboldt Hottie, former hotshot fire fighter and current expert fire mapper Amy, our course is beautifully mapped out.

If you have Avenza, go get this map. If not, there will be a large scale version of it to view at packet pick-up. Either way, our course is well marked.
