Kids Run This Town is designed to get your elementary schooler outside, in the fresh air and enjoy running! Over the course of 5 weeks, your child will log 12 miles at home with the supervision of Mom or Dad (or anyone who wants to run with them). They will meet up at Smith Physical Therapy and Running Academy for two fun runs - meet the coaches, get to know their peers, engage in fun running activities, and learn some of the basics of running! Then, on September 5th, they will run the final mile of the Crystal Lake Half Marathon and receive their official race medal!

What does registration include?

• A guided coaching plan for your athlete
• Two fun run meet ups at Smith Physical Therapy and Running Academy
• Registration into the Crystal Lake Half Marathon (Kids 1-Mile Run)
• A runner t-shirt
• A finishers medal!

What days will the Fun Run Meet Ups be?

The meet ups at Smith Physical Therapy and Running Academy will be:

• August 4th from 5-6pm
• August 18th from 5-6pm

Can my little little guy/gal participate?

Participants MUST be entering Kindergarten-5th grade in the fall. Runners from anywhere are welcome - any town, any school, any team!

On race day, where will my child need to be in order to run the final mile?

All kids will meet at Central High School on Sunday, September 5 and follow the final mile of the Crystal Lake Half Marathon course. They will cross the official finish line in downtown Crystal Lake with the rest of the Half Marathon runners!
