Race For Recovery
We are pleased to announce that Shelby County Drug Court Foundation is hosting the Race for Recovery 5K held entirely in the historic Overton Park. This will be our 7th annual Race for Recovery. Following the race, we will have a medals and awards ceremony.
We invite you to run with us. For over twenty years, Drug Court has been intervening on the lives and families of the arrested due to alcohol and drug problems. Drug Court reduces drug use, reduces crime, saves money, restores lives, and saves children, and reunites families.
All proceeds from the 5K, will go directly to offer services to participants in the Drug Court program. Services that help our participants become productive tax-paying members of Shelby County. These participants in turn will strengthen our community.
