The Water Run 2021

We are pleased to announce that The Water Run 2021 is a go!

We will be having the virtual option again this year for participants who cannot make it to Medicine Hat, or just want to get creative and do their own route. It will be the same great family fun with more options and opportunities to make a difference!

ENTRY FEES

3k/5km/10km – $50; KIDS $20! Online closes Friday night.

Last minute registration – $60! Starts Thursday night, closes Saturday morning.

Race Day Registration will be available from 9:30am-10:15am for $60.

It saves to register early!! Make sure to give yourself enough
time to grab your bib and prepare for a 11am start!

Your entry includes:

A Water Run shirt, medal, and Swag Bag!
Race Bib with Racepro chip timing and Results
Refuelling after with food and snacks.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Pickup Times / New Race Start Times
10 km: pickup between 10:15am – 10:45am – new rolling race start 11:00am.
5km runners: pickup between 10:30am – 11:00am – new rolling race start 11:15am
3km runners: pickup between 10:45am – 11:15am – new rolling race start 11:30am

RACE PACKAGE PICKUP

We are staggering race package pick-up according to your race distance. Please do not arrive before your scheduled pick-up time.

RACE START

Racers will line up 2x2 (at flags) and individually released every 5 seconds in a time-trial format.
Keep moving up the line until you’re the next to go. Your start time is automatically triggered when you cross the start/finish line.

FINISH LINE

Athletes are encouraged to grab some water and food, and cheer the runners as they cross the finish line.
We have a wide finish chute with two lanes. Pick a side and keep moving forward.

POST-RACE

Bottled water, food, and snacks will be available at the finish line. After the race, runners are encouraged to gather for prizes and a short message from The Water Run organizers.

Top Male/Female for the 5k & 10k will win a free entry to the next race! Winners will receive an email after the race.
TOP PRIZES also go to top PLEDGE EARNERS for ADULTS and KIDS!

Virtual: You choose your own course and time. Details for results submission should be emailed to you. Must run event between October 2- October 9. Race results must be submitted by noon October 10th.
