Since 1978, the Waterloo 10 KM Classic event is our favourite thing, and unfortunately, 2021 is the second year of cancellation. But that's ok - it will return one day and be better than ever.
For this year, we're offering a virtual option. Our opinion is that virtual races don't have to be expensive. The race is $10, and we are also offering medals for any donations $15 or above per person. The donations are to Run Waterloo and are non-charitable.

The Race
What. We are offering 10k and 5k options. Runners and walkers welcome; this isn't necessarily a competitive event. You can use the opportunity to challenge yourself as you see fit. Please take care to be safe in your participation.
When. The race is on until August 22. Participants can submit their time at any point during that range.
The Medal
What. This custom glittery swiveler is something new we've tried for the first time, and we're really pleased with the result. It's something cheerful to stand-in for another displaced race.
How. The race is $10, and we are also collecting non-charitable donations based on the participant's ability to pay. A donation of at least $15 is what's required to claim your medal.
When. The medals are here, and will be available for you for free at Runners' Choice in Waterloo as soon as your result is posted. There is also an option to purchase Canada-wide shipping on these during registration, and we will ship them in batches daily based on posted results.
