”Run to Japan Close to You” is a charity event for all runners - marathoners or beginners.
You choose the distance you want to run and the time span to achieve it.
Two birds with one stone. You get fitness and the satisfaction of contributing to a wonderful charity - Beddown.
Key Challenge - Find a Japan related site or object to capture a selfie with.
Bonus - prizes to all those who achieve their goal (minimum 5km - remember you choose the time span.)
What is "Japan Close to You"?
Before you start, you find somewhere or something closely related to Japan, near where you live.
Run to this place in your neighborhood and take a selfie.
Examples of "Japan Close to You"
It can be a
- Historical place commemorating friendship between Japan and Australia.
- Japanese garden
- Building designed by a Japanese architect
- Structure built by Japanese construction company
- Japanese product
- Japanese restaurant
- Japanese shop
- Japanese manufacturer
Prize
All participants who have completed their run (min 5km) will receive fabulous Japan products (see Participant Prizes page) and a Finishers Certificate.
