Virtual Run: Firebolt 5k and Race of 100 Harrys 2021

Firebolt 5k

Join us for the 4th Annual Firebolt 5k and Race of 100 Harrys. With the success of the 2020 virtual race, we are going to keep the Firebolt 5k and Race of 100 Harrys a virtual race again in 2021. This year magic is everywhere.

Will you still get a cool house t-shirt? Yes
Will you still get the third part of our 4 part medal? Yes
Will you pick your course, day, and time to run? Yes

Last year the virtual run was a new concept to us, this year we are ready to make the virtual race even better!

1) Registration will be open July 1st - August 6th

3) In September you will receive a package in the mail with your house t-shirt and cool finisher's medal. 5k finishers receive part 3 of our four-part medal series.

4) On Saturday, September 25th - hit the road in your house colors and upload your pics to our social media page. The 4th Saturday in September has been such a magical day for attendees of the Queen City Mischief and Magic Festival in Staunton, Va. This year the magic is wherever you are and we will come together virtually to celebrate our love for all things Potter.

5) Upload your run/walk time. More details to come. (this will help determine the winning house and medal design for next year)

Let's talk Medals:

In 2019 we unveiled a 4 part medal. Each piece would represent a Hogwarts House and they will magnet together to create the full Hogwarts Crest. We polled participants last year and they voted for Gryffindor to be the first house represented. Ravenclaw pulled out the win at the 2019 race and secured their spot as the 2020 Medal. In 2020 Slytherin was the winning house so they will be represented on this year's medal.

***If you are new to the race but would like to purchase the 2019 and 2020 medals so you may do so during registration. Limited quantities are available***


Race of 100 Harrys

This is typically a one mile walk/run for children 12 and under. Race of 100 Harrys' finishers also get their own tshirt (children's sizes only), wizard glasses, lightning bolt tattoo and cool finisher's medal. The 2020 Race of 100 Harrys' medal was a blingy golden snitch, in 2021 we are going a little darker. Keep an eye on social media for our medal reveal.
