Fleet Feet is excited to partner with Bird to deliver a brand-new online training experience for the California International Marathon in 2021!
Join the Official Online CIM Training Program for personalized training, one on one coach support, online workshops and VIP perks on race day. Choose between three ability-based training plans for your fitness and goals, and get motivation, accountability and support from a certified coach during your training.
The Training
Your choice of an 18 week Finish, Improve, or Perform ability-based training plan, delivered in the Bird app. Choose which schedule is right for you. Complete daily assignments for running, cross training, and recovery.
Use Bird app to follow your training, track progress, and communicate with your coach and other CIM runners. You'll receive weekly text message support from your coach with training advice and weekly training newsletters with training context and advice.
Participate in weekly coaching calls to learn skills you’ll need for marathon training, such as fueling/hydration, pacing, and pre-race prep. Join monthly online seminars with other athletes, led by Fleet Feet and the Sacramento Running Association, to learn what to expect throughout the CIM season and on race day.
The VIP Experience
Upgrade to the VIP Experience to get the most out of the 2021 California International Marathon. VIPs have access to a hotel room block walking distance from the finish line, a private shuttle to the start line, and a start line warming tent with food, beverages, a private set of portable bathrooms, and more.

Worry-Free Registration
If you cancel your registration for CIM Training BEFORE August 2, 2021, you can choose between a refund of your registration fee or a credit in the amount of your registration fee. You can apply your credit to 2022 CIM Training or another Fleet Feet Training Program.
If you cancel your registration for CIM Training AFTER August 1, 2021, you will receive a prorated credit towards 2022 CIM Training or another Fleet Feet Training Program. Prorated credits will be calculated by subtracting the duration of training that has already occurred from the total duration of group training runs.
If CIM is cancelled, marathon training will continue, if it is safe to do. If you choose to cancel your registration for CIM Training after CIM is cancelled, you will receive a prorated credit towards 2022 CIM Training or another Fleet Feet Training Program. Prorated credits will be calculated by subtracting the duration of training that has already occurred from the total duration of group training runs.
