My Story…
My name is Joe Karp. I reside in Pittston with my wife Debbie and my two daughters Madison and Camryn. I graduated from Temple University with a Master's Degree in education and for the last 18 years, I have been an 8th grade Math teacher for the Pocono Mountain School District. In my free time, I enjoy coaching for the Pittston Surge Soccer Academy and I also volunteer as treasurer for the Pittston Area Lady Patriots Booster Club.
Paint Pittston Pink has personally touched my family and I am so grateful for what the organization represents. Six years ago, my wife Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer. Fortunately, because of organizations such as Paint Pittston Pink, my wife was able to receive the very best care and treatment for her diagnosis. It is an honor for me to participate in this event, so cancer research and awareness can continue to help others, just as it helped my wife.
