Raise money for Eli Grow Legacy Foundation
Eli Grow envisioned building a new athletic complex like no other in Tullahoma and our surrounding communities. In the spring of 2016 Eli shared this idea with his family. He planned one day to be able to afford this state-of-the-art facility and training with the purpose of providing much needed resources not only for football but for every athlete at Tullahoma High School. Eli believed exposure to these opportunities along with hard work and determination gave every athlete the ability to develop to their fullest potential. He believed if every athlete could reach their full potential then their teams would be unparalleled.
On Saturday, April 30, 2016 Eli was returning home from his biweekly football conditioning and training in Franklin, Tennessee. Less than 5 miles from home Eli fell asleep. He was killed on impact as he crossed the centerline hitting head-on an oncoming truck.
Through our unimaginable loss of Eli here on earth our family draws our strength from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are comforted knowing Eli had a faith in and drew his strength from Jesus Christ.
Eli was 17 years old. Less than one month from his 18th birthday. He was a Tullahoma High School Senior known for his positive encouraging attitude and his infectious smile. Eli was an honor student, volunteer, brother, boyfriend, friend to everyone, lover of everything out doors, an artist, and a THS Quarterback. From the seventh grade to his death Eli dedicated his time to developing his mind and body to be the most competitive athlete he could possibly be. Signing to play football at Mississippi College was a dream come true for Eli and created even more passion and determination for him to continue his unwavering work ethic. Enabling him to give his best effort at the college level.
Eli’s vision for Tullahoma athletics is now a vision for the Grow family. Over the past year, we have established The Eli Grow Memorial Foundation, Inc. a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit. In his life, Eli strived to help others. As an all-volunteer foundation, we continue with his legacy. The Eli Grow Memorial Foundation, INC will 1) provide Tullahoma’s athletes the resources needed to succeed and reach their highest potential. 2) promote the importance of discipline, determination, and excellence in character as essential ingredients for successful life. The Foundation’s primary objectives include:
- Construct a state of the art athletic training facility and indoor football field,
- Provide sports specific conditioning support,
- Provide professional guidance for athletes that desire to compete at the college level.
Please consider joining the Grow family as we begin this mission to build the future of Tullahoma Athletics. Your financial donation or contribution of time will allow everyone involved to be part of something larger than ourselves: a team – a family – a community – a legacy of strength and opportunity for all the Athletes of Tullahoma Tennessee.
