On Friday, May 14th, Don Shaw lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. With a diagnosis in late March, this viscous, aggressive, savage, unrelenting disease took him from us in a little over a month. To say our hearts are broken is an understatement. There is no greater hearteache than seeing a loved one suffer so fiercely. He was the best dad, husband and friend and he will be missed beyond measure.
Don would have been 75 this year and in honor of his 75th birthday, please join us (virtually) in running or walking a 5k in his honor. Don LOVED to run, and I know he'd be thrilled to know that his friends and family are doing a 5k for his birthday!
How does it work?
1. Register to participate! Join as an individual or create a team and invite your friends and family to join you. Registration is only $7.50!! (because Don would have been 75 this year)
2. Receive your custom bib via email
3. During Don's birthday week - Any time between August 9th and Don’s birthday on August 16th - either walk or run a 5k (or bike, or hike....whatever your jam!)
4. Wear your custom bib, take and post pictures and videos to social media using #DoinItForDon2021, #projectpurple, and tag @projectpurple. Also, post pictures to the 2021 Doin’ It For Don photo gallery! CLICK HERE
