First Annual Peoria Academy and Play Day 5k

Introducing the 1st Annual Peoria Academy 5k and Play Day! Join us for a morning of athletics, fresh air, community and fun!

Activities include community camaraderie, and fun and games!!!!

This event will support athletics programming at Peoria Academy. Whether you are looking to run, walk or just enjoy a morning of family friendly fun and games this event is open to all!

Division 1: 5k Trail Race (open to all ages)

- See what Pioneer life was like 150 years ago as you run, hike, or walk

the beautiful prairies and trails at Peoria Park Districts Sommer Farm.

Division 2: Kids Fun Run and Backyard Obstacle Course (must be 10 or younger)

- Mom and dad, see your little one run their first race! This flat short run will help launch that Olympic Career :). After the race take part in 1DAYNOW! RACING INC's Family Friendly Backyard Obstacle Course, and discover the things you may have in the garage or storage room that can be used to get the family outside and using their wits to create fun away from the TV

Division 3: Family Stroll (less than 2 miles)

- Take a walk through Sommer Farm and experience the hidden treasure of Sommer Farm and its history.

- All participants of race will receive a race shirt.

- Awards will be given to the top Male and Female
