Girl Scouts Go: Run for the Cookies
Break a sweat and work off Thanksgiving dinner with Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri!

Girl Scouts Go: Run for the Cookies is Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri's annual run. This year we are excited to be offering in-person and virtual participation options. In-person participants are invited to join us on November 27 to participate in the 5k or 1-mile run/walk. All local safety guidelines will be followed.


Current guidelines will be emailed to all in-person participants before the event. Each race will have 4 waves to limit group size. After your run, join us in the parking lot for hot chocolate and Girl Scout cookies. We will be holding a winter coat donation drive for Operation Food Search. Please bring new or gently used coats to support those in need.


Virtual participants will have the opportunity to complete their run or walk over a 10-day period from November 19-28, 2021. So whether you run on a treadmill, jog around the neighborhood or walk a local trail, our virtual event is a great option to participate in this event. Race packets will be mailed to all virtual participants. Register by November 8 to guarantee you receive your packet by November 26th.


Join us in celebrating 10 years of our Girl Scouts Go: Run for the Cookies event in-person or from the comfort of your home or local trail. All participants registered by October 11 will be guaranteed a custom event shirt! All 5K and 1-mile participants will receive a commemorative Girl Scout themed medal. A custom event patch is available for ordering during registration. Participants can opt to receive our swag bundle instead of the shirt or add on the individual items for an additional charge. Top finishers in each age category along with top 3 overall will receive free Girl Scout cookies! Break a sweat and get moving with friends and family at Girl Scouts Go: Run for the Cookies!

  • The 5K will begin at 8:00am and have groups of 75 participants every 5 minutes. 5K participants will choose their start time during registration.

  • 7:00am | Race day registration/Packet pickup open
  • 8:00am | Timed 5K Run/Walk waves begin
  • 9:00am | 1 Mile Run/Walk waves begins
  • 9:20am | 5K awards announced

Event Policies

  • Dogs are not allowed to participate in the 5K run/walk or 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
  • Strollers are welcome, we just ask that you start towards the back of the field

Awards

All in-person and virtual participants will receive a Girl Scout themed finisher medal. Cookies for the top 3 male and female overall finishers in the 5K (in-person only). Cookies will be given to the top 1 male and female finishers of the 5K (in-person) in the following age groups:
13 & Under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over.
