The Journey 5K: Running For Women's Wellness

The Journey Collective Inc. is inviting all women, men, families, children, and pets to participate in The Journey 5K! In memory of Audrey L. Ward, this 5K is purposed to raise awareness of the importance of women's spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial wellness. Whether you walk, run or come out for general support, you are invited to this high-energy time of celebrating and encouraging women’s wellness.
The Journey 5K is an in-person walk/run happening on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 at Frank Liske Park in Concord, NC. This event will kick off at 8am and by participating in The Journey 5K, you are helping to provide resources that impact the spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial wellness resources to women across the country! These resources include guest speakers, healthy cooking classes, stress management workshops, financial literacy sessions, and MORE!
When women are empowered in their wellness goals, families are strengthened and communities are made better! Grab your friends, neighbors, coworkers, and let's raise awareness for women's wellness by participating in The Journey 5K!
ALL REGISTRANTS WILL RECEIVE A CUSTOM JOURNEY 5K BOX!

Friday, October 1: Race Packet Pickup
Greater Fellowship Baptist Church

4:00pm-6:00pm
Note: Participants unable to pick up their race packets on Friday will have the opportunity to pick up their packets at Frank Liske Park on the morning of the race.
Saturday, October 2: RACE DAY!
8:00am- Race Packet Pickup & Vendor Expo
8:50am- Pre-Race Welcome & Group Stretching
9:00am: Race beings
10:30am: Post Race Awards Ceremony, Vendor Expo & Entertainment
Frank Liske Park is a beautiful location with lots of family fun activities, including miniature golfing, paddle boating, and kayaking. Consider hanging out after the race for family-friendly activities for the whole family!
Note: We can only guarantee t-shirts for participants who register by September 16th. However, all participants will receive a specially curated Journey 5K box filled with freebies!

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICK UP QUESTIONS
HOW DO I REGISTER?
You may register either online, in person at the packet pickup location, or at the race site on race day.
WHAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO REGISTER?
Registering online is the easiest way to sign up.
CAN I PICK UP A PACKET FOR A FRIEND OF FAMILY MEMBER?
Yes. Please have their name and date of birth.
WHERE DO WE PICK UP OUR PACKETS?
You can pick up your race packet on Friday (10/1) between 4-6pm at Greater Fellowship Baptist Church (2422 Ashley Rd. Charlotte, NC). You can also pick it up on the morning of the race (10/2) between 8-8:50am.
WHAT WILL WE RECEIVE AT PACKET PICKUP?
You will receive your race shirt and race bib.

There is plenty of parking in the business park.
WHERE DO I PARK?
All parking will be available at the race site
ARE BABY JOGGERS/BABY STROLLERS ALLOWED IN THE RACE?
Yes
ARE WALKERS ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE?
Yes, please start towards the end of the race pack. The course closes at 11:00am. Please make sure you can walk the course in that time frame. Volunteers and race staff will not be available for support after course closure.
WILL AWARDS BE GIVEN?
Yes. Awards will be given to the top three finishers of the race as well as the teams with the most registrants and the team with the most donations raised.
