9th Annual Barney's Run for Warriors-
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, the 2021 race will be held off the base. This year’s race will consist of a 10k, 5k, and 1 mile Fun Walk/Run. The well marked courses will run through our Albany neighborhoods. New this year- you can bring your dog to run with you on the 1mile, 5K or the 10K.
Walk or Run to support veterans affected by PTSD “the invisible wounds of war.” Our goal is to support K9s For Warriors in their mission to provide Service Dogs for these brave men and women, saving lives! These special canines give healing and independence to the Warrior graduates of their program. COVID- 19 has forced many of us into isolation and so many Warriors have felt that impact which could further send them into seclusion, but with their Service Dog by their side, found comfort during an unpredictable time. Even though the race looks a little different than past years, the mission of the run has not changed. We look forward to supporting our local veterans and their specially trained canines.
T-Shirts registration Deadline is: October 6th!
Shirt Sizes are: YS,YM,YL and Adult: S,M,L, XL, XXL and XXXL.
Awards: Medals given to the 10K & 5K Runners, Male & Female. Finishing Medals for 1 Mile.
Medals given to the Top Three Male & Female Finishers in 16 Age Groups for the 10K & 5K.
Best American Spirit School Award will be given to the school with most participants in the 10K, 5K, & 1 Mile.
Age Groups: 6-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+
On Race Day: Registration will be from 7:15 a.m.- 8:15 a.m.
