You can transfer your bib to anyone - $2.24 Race Roster fee (To be paid by the new participant)

- Add the new recipient's email.
- Once the transfer is initiated, the new participant will receive an email with a link to complete the transfer.
The original participant is refunded the registration amount and the spot is now available for purchase.
The new participant purchases the bib, plus the $2.24 Race Roster transfer fee.
EVENT DETAILS
Join us on Saturday, December 4th, 2021 at 10am for the 1st annual Bootstrap Boogie trail race, presented by the Irving Nature Park. 150 runners will descend on west Saint John to run some of the most beautiful coastal trails in the Maritimes. Runners will enjoy single track trails, a beach, a dirt road, and boardwalks over a marsh and through the woods. About 99% of it is coastal!
No race day registration, or refunds. Online registration only, which ends on Monday, November 1st at 12pm. There will be no waiting list once the race is sold out, but we will allow transfers.
THE ROUTE
Strava Segment: Bootstrap Boogie*
- Start at Sheldon Point Trail parking lot.
- Run the Sheldon Point Trail, through the pit, to the Beach.
- Run the beach to the dirt road
- Run the dirt road to the INP
- Run the Coastal Loop (Clockwise) around the INP (Includes the boardwalk, and the Frog Trail)
- Run back on the Dirt Road, and along the Beach
- Run back on the Sheldon Point Trail to roughly the 16km point
- Turn left and run the field for the final 1km
- Finish at Sheldon Point Parking Lot

One Aid station with hydration will be available in the parking lot to the Irving Nature Park. Access to the aid station will happen two times during the race at ~4km and ~12km.
Covid-19 Operational Plan:
Covid19 is ever evolving, and we will always follow Public Health and Mandatory Order Requirements. We reserve the right to take additional precautions to ensure everyone’s safety.
Race Crew will:
- Be double vaccinated, and wear masks throughout the duration of the event.
- Wear masks and gloves at the aid station and refreshment stations.
- Provide hand washing and sanitizing stations at the Start/Finish.
- Provide hand Sanitizer at the aid station.
- Only serve bottled water and Gatorade at the aid station. (Race crew will ensure all discarded bottles are recycled).
- Ensure all food at the refreshment table is individually wrapped.
- Use pylons and caution tape as visual markers for social distancing around the registration and refreshment tables.
- Host a pre-race day kit pickup on Friday November 5th from 4pm to 7pm.
As a runner we ask that you:
- Are double vaccinated (proof will be required – see below for options)
- Wear a mask when:
- you pick up your race kit
- you are in the start and finish area
- you are visiting the refreshment table
- social distancing is not possible
- Use the hand washing and sanitizing stations before picking up your race kit and visiting the refreshment table.
- Be mindful. Be kind. Thank the volunteers!
Please do not attend this event if:
- public health has told you to self-isolate
- you are awaiting a test result
- you have Covid symptoms.
To submit proof of double vaccination, you can:
- Send your immunization information to saintjohntrailrunning@gmail.com. I am the only one who monitors that inbox, and I ensure you that your privacy will be respected. Your name will be checked off as providing proof, and your proof of immunization will be deleted immediately. I understand this is personal medical information, so if you are not comfortable forwarding that to me, see option 2.
- Bring your immunization information with you during one of our check-in options.
If you cannot provide proof of full vaccination, you will not be issued a race bib.
