Virtual and In-Person 5K Run/1 Mile Walk
Walk A Mile In Their Shoes, presented by Georgia Power, is one of our organization’s signature events where participants from across the country come together to advocate against domestic violence. Typically an in-person 5K run/1 mile walk, this year we’re going hybrid - both virtual and in-person!
Participants will have the option to not only run or walk in honor or memory of someone affected by domestic violence, but swim, hike, bike, dance - or whatever their activity of choice might be - to reach their goal.
The Virtual Race will begin on October 1st and you will have until October 18th to complete your chosen activity! During this time you should post your results on the Virtual Results tab here on Race Roster! There will also be a special virtual frame released the week of the race for you to use for your social media platforms and share your results there as well!
The In-Person Walk/Run will be on Saturday, Oct. 16th in Atlanta, GA. Sign-in and on-site registration is at Park Tavern, next to Piedmont Park and the race takes place on the Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail.
