Event Details:
Join us for our annual run in Portland, where Embrace Change and Holla Mentors get together for some miles and smiles! We invite the community to run, walk or jog with us in support of three local organizations doing fantastic work to uplift youth of color in the Pacific NW.
The entry fee is $25, with all proceeds going directly towards our $10,000 fundraising goal. Registrants will receive a race kit with some lululemon swag and delights until supplies run out.
5k(3 miles) or 10k(6 miles) your way! Run, walk, or jog the beautiful run course along the Columbia River. With our theme Running For a Purpose on Purpose, our collective miles are symbolic of support and awareness of causes outside of our own that essentially make an impact in our local Black and Brown Communities.

Running for a Purpose on Purpose
Your impact this year is tripled! All proceeds from the run will be split between HOLLA Mentors, ACE, and the Youth Achievement Center. Read below to learn more about these incredible organizations.
HOLLA Mentors (Portland, OR)
HOLLA is a mentorship movement that connects with families, administrators, teachers, and nonprofits to recognize the power and potential of Black and Brown youth. Its programs provide representation, equity, and a wide range of supports for mentees and their families. Beneficiaries of our program are connected to educational supports, mental health, athletics, food, clothing, housing, and more.
Academy for Creating Excellence (Renton, WA)
ACE provides high quality services in support of men of color. They foster safe spaces to nurture the talents of each student through individualized learning plans combined with curricula specifically designed for the ways young men learn best.
Youth Achievement Center (Seattle, WA)
https://www.youthachievementcenter.org/
The Youth Achievement Center (YAC) consists of two building projects in South Seattle, the first of its kind for homeless youth. One building will provide housing, and the other will be a multi-purpose building for wrap-around service providers with space for retail opportunities. The YAC is a supportive space for youth to live, heal and develop their self-empowerment and self-determination.
